I work at the US EPA Region 1 Office in Boston and we received an anonymous complaint that is not likely within our Federal Authority for enforcement action but we believe The City of Boston may be able to investigate and could possibly require corrective action. The electric company was doing work outside our building two weeks ago. Constituent states that a home was demolished and a fire alarm was left on and has been going off since 1pm yesterday. He has a hearing issue and it is now causing difficulty functioning. BFD came by around 3pm yesterday and stated that it was unsafe to rumage through the debris. A few hours later an elderly neighbor was trying to find it to turn it off. It has now infringed on the neighbors quality of life. |

Wires need to be properly secured and elevated, consistent with their location prior to the start of construction.
