Litter & Debris

There is a significant and ongoing amount of litter accumulating along Addison St in East Boston, and there is currently no public trash receptacle available in the area. Trash frequently accumulates on the sidewalk/street and is becoming a recurring cleanliness issue. I am requesting that the City evaluate this location for installation of a public litter basket/trash receptacle. A public trash can would provide pedestrians with somewhere to properly dispose of waste and help prevent the ongoing litter buildup. I can provide photos of the litter and the exact location if needed. There is a planet fitness right near it and we think this is why there is an outstanding amount of trash.
