🚨 COMMENDATION LOG: MBTA ROUTE 16 STABILIZATION 🚨 Submitted on behalf of local parents and the Uphams Corner community. We formally acknowledge the highly successful morning service adjustments, increased frequency, and deployment of additional buses on Route 16. Our families historically faced severe safety hazards when overloaded buses bypassed stranded students. Transit predictability is a matter of profound public health, equity, and safety. Deficits heavily burden our vulnerable populations, including local seniors, students, and physically or visually challenged residents relying on this transit corridor. Parent feedback confirms children are no longer left behind. This vital intervention directly reinforces core objectives for child safety and neighborhood quality of life. We extend our deepest appreciation to frontline operators and Cabot Garage scheduling personnel for their exceptional public service and servitude.
