- Description
- Toxic odors from contractors working for WS Development as part of the Fidelity Bank installation at 133 Seaport Blvd decided to waterproof the newly installed elevator pit without any notice. The material used is a hot-applied adhesive mastic that produces a very potent chemical odor. The odor has permeated much of the building. Building management received a number of complaints from residents. I also phoned 311 earlier this evening and filed a report as well. We were told they would forward the issue to code enforcement. I thought it would be helpful to follow up with this written report. Please note, In addition to the terrible odors we are experiencing eye irritation and some breathing issues. We were told by building management the odors would dissipate within one or two days. Please help! We are senior citizens and currently have our two grandchildren staying with us. We fear the fumes may be toxic and the longer we are exposed the more dangerous this situation may get.
