- On behalf of HUB Sports Boston, we would like to request that the Boston Common softball field be groomed (lined/dragged). Perhaps dry dirt could be added around home plate and the pitcher's mound to help fill in the sinkholes that are starting to develop in those areas. This would help a lot with puddling formulating in those areas as well. Also, per the photo attachment, there appears to be fabric sticking out in the infield. Perhaps dirt could be applied to this area as well to cover the fabric sticking out. We have the permit every Monday (night), Thursday (night), and Sunday (day) (Permit #: R45301/45299/45911). We’re hoping to have these field issues resolved to help prevent injury among our participants and to help contribute to an overall better playing experience for all participants of our program.
