- The City has just spend big money widening the A Street sidewalks between Melcher and Congress Streets. BUT: the small area shown in the attached photo, where one of the two stairs from Summer St down to A St lands on the sidewalk WAS NOT REPLACED when the new sidewalk cement was poured. The contractor maintains that "it was not in the project scope." If true, this is a RIDICULOUS oversight — to make a beautiful new streetscape and leave this blemish in the middle of it is inexcusable public action and public policy. PLEASE have the corrected. Expectantly appreciative, Peter Agoos, A Street resident since 1980.
