- Description
- Constituent submitted the following via email: ?I am writing to formally report severe safety hazards in my unit that were omitted from the recent inspection report for Case #HVIOL-904945, despite my attempts to report them. ?1. Dangerous Electrical Wiring (Kitchen): The heavy-duty power cable for the electric stove is sitting on the floor, is rusted, and the insulation is peeled/frayed (exposed wires). This is a major fire and electrocution hazard. Furthermore, the outlet is at floor level; for safety and accessibility, it should be at a proper height to prevent contact with water in case of leaks or flooding. ?2. Accessibility & Maintenance Issues: To clean the kitchen, I am forced to unplug this heavy stove, but there is no space to reach behind it. I have physical limitations that prevent me from bending down and struggling to reach into such a cramped, dangerous area. ?3. Failure of Interpretation Services: During the inspection, the interpreter explicitly told me NOT to mention the stove cable at that moment, claiming it would be discussed later. However, it was completely left out of the final report. This issue was already photographed by a previous inspector, yet it remains unaddressed. ?4. Active Moisture (Kitchen & Bathroom): As previously reported, there is active efflorescence and water leaking through the walls in both the kitchen and bathroom, which is worsening daily. ?I request an immediate follow-up to include these life-safety violations in my case. | Any children under 6 years of age: [No] Owner's name and contact info: [BHA] Occupants name and contact info: [Same as Caller]
