- Description
- The weight of the buses stopping at the corner of Warren and Townsend Streets has caused a ridge of pavement pushing up into the street next to the bus lane. It is hard to see, (you can see a white line in this picture—that’s the space beside it) but it is high enough that it is a danger to cars and is a tripping hazard. There are two elementary schools and a middle/high school that use this stop, and kids frequently run across this street trying to catch a bus on the other side. I have watched many of them trip, falling into a lane of traffic because they didn’t notice it, and some cars drive erratically, veering into the other lane to avoid it. The street needs to be leveled or at least have the raised ridge of pavement painted to warn people that it’s there.
