- I am submitting an anonymous complaint regarding what appears to be an imminent public health hazard at a restaurant in Boston: Cafe Sauvage While dining at the establishment, I observed two rats running from the staircase area toward the kitchen. Inside the restroom, there were visible rodent droppings on the floor, indicating active infestation. After exiting the restroom, I looked down the staircase area and observed numerous rats and mice gathered near what appeared to be a box of carrots, suggesting possible contamination of food storage or preparation areas. The presence of live rodents inside the establishment, particularly in proximity to the kitchen and food storage, constitutes a serious violation of the Massachusetts Food Code and represents an imminent health hazard due to the risk of food contamination and disease transmission. Given the severity and visibility of the infestation, I respectfully request an immediate inspection and appropriate enforcement action. Thank you for your prompt attention to this matter.
