- Urgent Safety Hazard – Immediate Removal Required: The Red Cross boxes in back of 285 Columbus, with hinges ripped off and locks broken, are the site of daily crime, including needles, theft, drug activity and trading, and sex acts. Placed inches from a residential building and emergency exits, they disturb residents with banging doors, people stealing from the bins and peeping, and prevent seniors from safely exiting an emergency door. Under senior housing protections, residents have the right to a safe, secure, and peaceful environment. These bins create a serious and ongoing safety risk and must be removed immediately by Red Cross - Holly Grant ~ 617-423-2231 ~ Holly.Grant@redcross.org, before someone gets hurt.
