- Upon move-in on 8/1/25, the unit was delivered in unsanitary and unsafe condition, with multiple habitability violations: Mold inside washing machine and clothing left behind; drain fly larvae found in washer filter. Spider infestation in basement; dead insects/debris throughout. Kitchen cabinets contained hair, dirt, and personal items. Landlord-owned furniture/items (couches, whiteboard, children’s wall paintings) left in unit. Carpet is heavily stained, frayed, and unsanitary; green foam exposed. Wall damage from prior items; unsealed basement wall holes with rust stains and possible mildew. Water damage on upstairs bathroom ceiling (possible leak/mold). Exposed cord in kitchen held with duct tape. Inadequate cleaning by landlord’s hired service. Some cleaning was done at my expense, but carpet replacement, wall repairs, removal of landlord’s items, sealing of wall holes, and hazard remediation remain outstanding. Requesting ISD inspection to document and enforce habitability compliance.
