    Case Noted | This signal is designed in conformance with BTD Guidelines which specify a system of walk lights in conformance with federal safety standards which are widely used throughout the country. Under this system, it is possible to provide longer "Walk" times and shorter delays to vehicles and pedestrians. During the green light for vehicles, "Walk" signals are on for pedestrians crossing parallel to the flow of traffic. Under this system, turning traffic must yield to pedestrians. Since receiving your request, we have verified that this intersection does conform to these guidelines as well as verified that signs are in place directing turning traffic to yield to pedestrians and additional signs are provided to warn pedestrians to watch for turning vehicles.
