Description
Constituent states via Contact Form on 7/18: Hello, I've lived on 78 Myrtle Street in Beacon Hill since 2021. There used to be a trash can by the Myrtle Street playground, but they removed it early this year. Since removing that trash can, I've noticed more and more dog walkers leaving their dog waste bags on the street because there is no trash can or pet waste boxes. Now people decide to leave their dog waste bags on my apartment buildings front door, so there are multiple dog waste bags just sitting on the corner of our apartment stoop. This is absolutely ridiculous that Beacon Hill doesn't have either more trash cans or dog waste bins on every street corner for people that have dogs (which there are a lot in Beacon Hill) to put their dog waste. This is very unsanitary, and obviously it's no one in my building leaving their dog waste since we aren't allowed dogs. I don't know whose decision it was to remove the trash cans on the hill, but they need to invest in adding some dog waste bins on every street corner to accommodate dog walkers. | Has a litter basket or barrel been at this location before: [Yes] Type of litter basket: [No Preference]

Noted | The barrel at the park was not removed, it was put inside the park to accommodate the park users and to stop the illegal disposal of household trash.
