Case Noted | The BPRD is not responsible for pruning trees that a developer decided to build homes under. The current property owner may at their own expense hire a private tree care company who employees a certified arborist to prune the tree back from overhanging the home at 147 Grampian way. The company you choose to do the work must have a certified arborist to complete the work. They can be either ISA Certified or a Massachusetts Certified Arborist. Prior to the work being completed the company you choose will need to send the City of Boston Tree Warden an email with the scope of work that is to be completed for the tree being pruned as well as the credentials of the arborist who will be performing the work. Once the scope of work and credential information is received and both meet City standards. The BPRD will issue permission to prune the tree directly to the company/arborist who will be doing the work.
