- Description
- We have complained many times over several months about the debris being dropped by the workers. Initially, we only had light construction trash, but recently the workers have been dropping heavy chunks of wood with nails sticking out, and a very large 2" x 4" wood beam. This is very dangerous to all of us, and especially to the infant and pregnant mother. We have told the contractor about our concerns. His first response was to scold us for not giving him a key to our back gardens so that he could have the debris collected. When we told him that this didn't protect us from the falling chunks of wood, and that cleaning up the debris would only hide the problem until someone was injured or worse, we received no response. This is a very dangerous situation that needs to be addressed immediately. We feel that netting should be installed around the building to protect everyone from falling debris. | Construction debris: [Workers have been dropping construction debris, including chunks of wood with nails in them, and 2" x 4" wood beams from the building's roof into our gardens where we need to walk to access our back gate. Besides my husband and me, our neighbors accessing this area include an infant and a mother who is 7 mos pregnant.] Exact location: [In the easement behind our back gardens, and our back gardens on the East side of the building (if the north side of the building is facing Warren Ave). The building used to be a church that is now being converted into condos.]
