Strong Sewer smell by MFA sidewalk.

Is it legal for this landlord that charges per room to have a wall built to spilt up the living room into two more bedrooms?

My daughter is renting a room from a company called Harrington House inside a new building in East Boston. The apartment is a 2 bedroom but to get more money, they converted part of the kitchen and the entire small living room into 2 more tiny bedrooms with thick cardboard that is stapled together against ikea bookcases to create a wall. This is not safe at all. Can someone come by to do an inspection? This company is very shady. Charging $1600 for each person for a cardboard box room That shares a window with the kitchen. If you turn on the light in the kitchen, it shines into one of the cardboard bedrooms. Also, my daughter has another female roommate Who is moving out next month. When my daughter signed the lease, she told only females will live in the apartment. They have been showing the apartment to potential tenants at all hours even when her or her roommate were sleeping. Now Harrington House moved in 3 male roommates, leaving my daughter to be the only female there in December. She nor her roommate does not feel safe with 3 men. Also we have camera footage on different men being shown the apartment. This is a money grabber and Harrington House wants to make as much money as they can, without regard to safety of their tenants or building codes. Can someone please contact me? 4121 Washington Street Rosindale - a place where rooms are rented that the city pays for with Wu getting the people off mass Ave given free rent for an year so everyone else basically paying for these rooms where it’s constant people in an out drug deals done outside on the porch so many rats & mice coming in and out and cockroaches. So the landlord just collects the money doesn’t take care of the property it’s not a great start coming from the tents to this. Property should be investigated- such a broken system - no wonder these people can’t start over being placed in a dirt house known to drug dealers so they can pop in etc

Illegal day care illegal boarding room and extended living space in basement

The stove in my apartment has been broken for about a week now. The gas works, but it will not light. I have contacted my property management group a couple times now. We submitted a maintenance request when it initially stopped working (Saturday 10/28) and all they have done is asked a couple additional questions via the portal on Monday. We’ve reached out twice since then and have heard nothing from them. No one has been by to look at the stove. My roommates and I were told 311 may be able to help us with getting our landlord to act on this sooner. Thank you!
