Pot holes. Road need repaving

The newly installed rotary at the intersection of Cummins Highway, Weybossett Street and Freenfield Road is too narrow causing dangerous road conditions for drivers and pedestrians. The most egregious example is for drivers exiting Weybossett street and making a right into the rotary. The sidewalk extends too far into the roadway and is partially hidden by the oddly placed and also unfinished pedestrian walkway. Everyday I see pieces of different cars who have hit their front end on the blind hidden sidewalk. If a pedestrian is standing on that corner, they’d get hit as cars jump the curve. This issue is further exasperated by the unfinished unpaved roadway in the roundabout which has a steep grade variation between the old road and the new pavement which causes a slope pushing cars back toward the sidewalk. It’s a liability and needs to be addressed immediately. I will also send this to the various city councilors covering Hyde Park and Mattapan.

Please give the budget asked to rebuild the community center at the Jackson Mann School on Wednesday. It is disappointing that our neighborhood continues to be overlooked and is always given the least amount of money when the city creates the Budget.
