Complaint Location: Behind 600 Columbia Road (facing Ramsey Street), Dorchester, MA 02125 Description of Violation: Severe, persistent, and unmitigated sanitary code violations in the rear setback facing Ramsey Street. Multiple blue City of Boston recycling carts with locked/chained lids are completely blocked by an accumulation of loose, overflowing black plastic refuse bags. The improper disposal includes an abandoned vehicle tire leaning directly against the brick facade and a significant buildup of uncollapsed commercial cardboard shipping boxes obstructing the public pedestrian sidewalk right-of-way. This chronic failure to manage proper waste containment has created an immediate public health and vector hazard, attracting rodent activity directly behind the building. Requesting the Boston Inspectional Services Department (ISD) to dispatch an inspector to this specific rear Ramsey Street entrance to issue immediate code enforcement citations to the property management firm, Heath Properties, for failure to comply with State Sanitary Codes.
