    I live at 324 Shawmut Ave in the south end. Over the past year or so, rat activity in our back yard has increased dramatically. While we have an active pest control company, our neighboring property (324 shawmut) has visible burrows that we can not treat from our back yard. The activity in the neighboring yard is quite intense, I see rats almost every time I go outside at night. My suspicion is that they have visible burrows that are not being treated and they keep trash on their back deck (I have also seen racoons go up there before). I have also seen rats enter their building through a hole in a basement window. There may also be issues on the entire block or our other neighbor but its hard to tell.

    Noted. After following up on a complaint at 704 Centre St. of a guest who stated they had seen rats inside of the establishment my findings were as follows: I met with the manager on duty at that time and made him aware of the situation. I then spoke with the owner of the establishment on the phone explaining the situation. As of right now pest control is on site once a month. Based on my findings I required the business to increase the amount of pest inspections based on the companies findings. I required management to have pest control also check the drop ceilings in order to determine if there was any additional activity. I then conducted a full sanitary inspection where I cited 2 Priority, 1 Priority Foundation and 6 Core Violations with a re-inspection scheduled for 5/26/2026. I also requested copies of the most recent pest control reports tobe added to this report. See license# 436380 for the last detailed report.

    Back parking area infested with rats. Living in the rock wall and in the disgusting dirty mattresses that have been there for months! This has been an issue for years…something big needs to happen here!

    92 G street south boston. Unkempt building with trash/litter outside, disgusting and unkempt boards covering basement lack of windows. Needs to be cleaned up and re boarded for neighborhood safety and rodent control in both front of building and back of building. Building has been essentially abandoned for years causing many issues to the neighborhood and street. Growing concern given the warmer weather and rodents etc.
