Resolved. The swing set at Shubow has two swing bays, one with the two swings for 2-5 year olds and the other with two for 5-12 year olds. Unfortunately, code dictates that a single bay cannot have two different age-group swings in it. This issue can be addressed when the playground is due for renovation (for more information, please contact the Design & Construction Unit at (617) 961-3011.

Resolved. Becuase this is a newly built park, the contractor is responsible for winter shut down and spring turn on for all water features after one year. They have been notified and should have the water soon. We understand how important these amenities are especially on warmer days. Thanks for your understanding and patience.

Resolved. Thank you for reaching out regarding portable toilets at Harambee Park. At this time, the Parks Department does not have any current plans to add portable restroom facilities at the park. We will continue to evaluate park needs and may consider this option in the future, but no decision has been made at this time. We appreciate your feedback and your interest in the park.

Resolved. We will pass this information along to our Design & Construction team, but from our inspection this is a design issue and is installed correctly.
